Overview

Colourful traditional Korean dance meets energetic hip hop at this year's Korean culture festival.

K-Festival is set to be one of the first major cultural events to take place since the COVID-19 pandemic. Around 10,000 people attend the event every year, and if Auckland's alert levels remain the same, this year's event will likely attract similar numbers to Eventfinda Stadium.

The free event on Saturday, 20 February showcases the nation's rich culture through electric b-boy performances, martial arts, K-pop, arts and crafts and, of course, a full spread of delicious food. You can expect traditional fare like japchae and Korean barbecue, contemporary favourites including fried chicken and tteokbokki, and new wave fusion cuisine like Spam sliders and bulgogi tacos.

The performer lineup ranges from K-pop dancer Rina Chae to the Auckland Symphony Orchestra.
