Overview

There's a special place in Grey Lynn where you can pick your own organic fruit and vege, buy freshly laid eggs and (if he lets you) pet a Welsh Pony called Jafa, and no it's not Farro having a pet day. It's Kelmarna Gardens, a hidden gem that brings a touch of the country to inner-city Auckland.

Their seasonal fundraising festival returns this weekend to celebrate all things autumn and earthy.

Orphans Kitchen will be there, serving up a mouth-watering feast from a wood-fired BBQ and Little Bird Unbakery will be providing sweet treats to nibble on. There'll be wellness tonics from Ahi-Ka Tonics, caffeine from Millers Coffee and free hugs with every smoothie you order from the Organic Mechanic boys.

Team all that deliciousness up with live music, workshops on beekeeping and foraging, a kids zone, raffles and you've got all the fun-of-the fair, and then some.

It's free entry, so bring your friends, family and the neighbours. Dig into some delicious food, an incredible veggie garden and dig deep into your pockets to help keep Kelmarna Gardens open to the community they've been a part of for so many years.
