Overview

Laneway Learning is a series of what would be considered night classes except for the lack of those awkward team building "Hi, I'm Diana and I like dancing," exercises. The Hello Wholefoods class is a part of the Laneway series dedicated to teaching its audiences about the substance behind the ongoing health food buzz.

It's a healthy cooking class meets informative discussion, all revolving around wholefoods and their benefits. Learn about simple fermenting and healthy baking - by way of the unprocessed cookie, creating nut pate, and concocting an all-good winter salad. Watch health guru Kelly Gibney make the recipes from scratch, and at the end of the class you'll receive every recipe, so you can replicate them at home.

Gibney has been writing and blogging wholefoods since before the first #greensmoothie was 'grammed, and photographing and styling foods when kale was still seen as a largely decorative leaf. She also started up Ponsonby's iconic watering hole Golden Dawn, which she ran for a few years before ditching the drinks to focus on food and nutrition. Check her blog, Bonnie Delicious, if you want to see what she's about, or you can find her fortnightly column in Dish magazine to preview a few of her best wholefoods recipes.
