Overview

2013 is shaping up to be a outstanding year for live music in New Zealand with some of the world's biggest names landing on our shores - and life just got even better. The one and only Leonard Cohen will be stopping by for three shows this December.

Cohen’s emotive and literary songwriting style has seen him pick up accolades including the Prince of Asturias Award for Literature, as well as inductions into both the America and Canada’s Music Hall Of Fame and the Canadian Songwriters Hall of Fame. It's estimated his songbook has been covered 1330 times by credible musicians, most notably Jeff Buckley’s rendition of 'Hallelujah'.

Alongside his show at Auckland's Vector Arena on December 21, Cohen will play Christchurch and Wellington with his road weathered nine-piece band, featuring the talents of Sharon Robinson, Webb Sisters and musical director Roscoe Beck.
