Overview

The unlikely pairing of a Motown legend and an Australian dubbed as The Voice will team up for a co-headlining tour across New Zealand in March, 2014.

Lionel Richie is known for his solo songs and as a member of the Commodores. He has collectively sold more than 100 million albums, written and recorded dozens of smash hits including Hello, Dancing on the Ceiling and All Night Long and picked up five Grammys. Oddly, it has also been reported that "Grown Iraqi men get misty-eyed by the mere mention of his name".

Over John Farnham's year-long career he has racked up accolades including 15 Aria awards, Aussie of the Year, and has been inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame. Most recently he was voted the best Australian singer of all time in a poll of 100 singers and musicians.

Lionel Richie and John Farnham will perform sets with their own band and singers.
