Live Jazz Sessions at Casita Miro

Looking for an elegant way to spent an afternoon while feeling like you're a world away from Auckland? Look no further than Waiheke winery Casita Miro, which is holding a series of live jazz sessions every Friday evening from Friday, April 15 until July 1 this year.

The evenings promise emotion, soul and flavour — of both musical and cuisine variety, thanks to the small winery's delicious menu of Spanish tapas and wines from around the island. You'll be entertained while you eat with live jazz from an eclectic lineup of performers, including Cousin Alice, Love Square, Cinematic Radio, Buzz Bars, and winery stalwarts the Waiheke String Quartet, with plenty of acts still yet to be announced. Tickets start at $125 per person, but vary depending on the day's act.

The ideal setting for both a romantic date or larger group scenario, enjoy food and music in the elegant, intimate setting and pretend you're sitting in a European vineyard on the other side of the world, at least for a few hours or so.
