Overview

With a reputation that precedes them as the 'go-to' for the crème of New Zealand's emerging talent crop, Madcap Music are set to knock it out the park yet again with their inaugural Madcap Madness event this July 1.

Perfectly positioned amidst the eclectic buzz of Karangahape Road's St Kevin's Arcade, the indoor festival oozes exclusive underground vibes, with acts spread across three stages of Whammy, Whammy Backroom and The Wine Cellar.

Promoting an inclusive Woodstock-esque ethos with a grimey modern edge, the festival will showcase more than 21 evolving and established artists across a host of different genres including the fresh hip-hop of collective AmmoNation (comprising Raiza Biza, NASH and Blaze the Emperor), laid-back bedroom beats of Villette and SoccerPractise, and the spectrum of electronica courtesy of chameleons Eastern Bloc.

With capacity for just 400 and earlybird tickets starting at $19.90, get your Saturday night sorted sashaying away and supporting locals.
