Overview

With strange objects like a rocking wooden timer and metal periscopes that resemble Swiss cheese, the design exhibition of AUT's second year product design students aim to go against the grain and push to re-interpret the usual uses of natural materials like wood and metal, while still creating something functional.

The resulting twenty designs are clever, beautiful but simple and showcasing some of the next generation's talented product designers who can create original artisan pieces as well as turn out items for mass production.  You can see and vote for the designs here.

The exhibition is open 9am-5pm Monday through Saturday, and 10am-4pm on Sunday.
