Overview

To mark the arrival of Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) — the Central American holiday that honours those who have passed — Mexico is offering a day of shenanigans on Thursday 2 November.

Feast your eyes on the Day of the Dead banquet, be brought back to life by ice cold margaritas, all while enjoying some live music and feeding your inner demon.

The banquet has something for everybody; from coffee and ancho braised beef rib to jalapeño rice, avocado, salsa borracha and warm flour tortillas, and don't forget $15 sangria.

Taking place at Mexico Britomart, Takapuna, Ponsonby and Ellerslie, each venue will have its own decorations, music and drinks specials. Learn to make and shake your own margaritas as they host a margarita masterclass. Your ticket will include schooling in the ways of a margarita master, two Jose Cuervo creations and only the best in Mexican cuisine from the kitchen.
