Overview

Auckland's Museum of Transport and Technology is opening its doors later than usual this weekend, transforming into an immersive speakeasy that kicks it back to prohibition days.

Dig out your finest flapper, bootlegger, showgirl, sly grogger, gangster or Great Gadsby garb and head along from 7pm. There will be prizes for the best dressed.

The organisers have left no stone unturned for MOTAT Prohibition. Within the borders of the Western Springs museum attendees will take a trip back in time with cocktail making lessons, live music, poker, dance lessons and a roaring 20s-themed photo booth.
