After a colourful career full of sex, drugs, alcohol, prison time and things we can’t really talk about here, hard-rock band Motley Crue have announced they will be hanging up their leather pants for good.
The band, made up of Nikki Sixx, Tommy Lee, Mick Mars and Vince Neil formed in Los Angeles, California, in 1981 and went on to become one of the best known bands of the hair metal era and one of the best-selling rock bands of all time, having sold more than 100 million records worldwide.
As a final hurrah to their 35-year musical career, the band have embarked on a two-year long goodbye tour around the globe. This will be their last ever visit to New Zealand. The band’s final show is scheduled to take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on December 31, 2015.
For the Auckland pitstop they will be joined by shock-rocker Alice Cooper.
