Mudbrick Sunset Screening Series

What's better than snuggling up to watch a movie? Snuggling up to watch a movie outside at one of the country's most stunning wineries, with a backdrop of the sun setting over the ocean.

Waiheke winery Mudbrick is turning its outdoor area into a chic cinema setup with its new Sunset Screening Series, supported by Waiheke Island Community Cinema.

Going ahead at red level (with reduced numbers and spacing between beanbags) the winery's terrace and grassed area is being transformed into a stunning outdoor movie theatre.

Classic flicks like Pretty Woman, Gladiator and Moulin Rouge are all on the lineup.  Head along with friends, family or that special someone, set up your spot (blankets are encouraged) and watch an incredible sunset over Rangitoto Island before the film starts.

A pre-purchased single ticket costs $25, or you can grab a ticket at the door for $30. Otherwise spend $110 and nab two tickets and a hamper stuffed with cured meats, boutique cheeses, marinated olives, freshly baked breads, seasonal dips and fresh fruits.

Mudbrick's rooftop bar will also be open throughout the movie, with drinks and a light food selection on offer.
