Overview

Auckland's regional parks and reserves will play host to a wide range of musical acts this summer as part of Auckland Council's Music in Parks series. Events will run from Saturday 11 January through to Sunday 23 March.

Sal Valentine and his 10-piece band The Babyshakes will lead an impressive line-up which includes Motown tribute band Motor City Family Funk, the vintage-soul flavoured Hipstamatics and quite possibly the sexiest band in the universe - The Cosbys.

Sal Valentine and The Babyshakes have been tearing up dance floors around Auckland for the past few years. They most recently released their debut self-titled album which mashes old-time rhythm and blues and modern day swag.

The gig will be held at Nixon Park in Kingsland on Saturday 15 March.
