A trio of successful American hip hop acts will embark on an arena tour of Australia and New Zealand at the start of 2015, with concerts in Sydney, Newcastle, Melbourne, Brisbane, Auckland and Perth. The triple-header includes double Grammy award-winning rapper Nelly, Lupe Fiasco and Atlanta recording artist B.o.B.
Since jumping on the scene with his breakout debut single, ‘Country Grammar’, Nelly has become quite the business mogul. Aside from 21 million albums sold, he has expanded his brand into acting, fashion and a line of energy drinks called Pimp Juice. The tour marks Nelly’s first visit down under in four years, and his first ever arena tour.
Rapper, songwriter and producer Lupe Fiasco has racked up an impressive 12 Grammy nominations over his 8-year career. He can be credited for bangers including ‘Kick Push’, ‘Superstar’ and ‘The Show Goes On’. Lupe fact: He also performs as the frontman of rock band Japanese Cartoon under his real name, Wasalu Muhammad Jaco.
B.o.B rose to fame after his debut single 'Nothin' On You' reached number one in both the US and UK. He followed that up with 'Airplanes', 'Magic' and one of the biggest songs of 2012, ‘So Good’, which picked up a double platinum certification. He has collaborated with everyone from Chris Brown to Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, Lil Wayne, Eminem, Bruno Mars. In a change of tact, he is currently working on an EP which will only include rock music.
