Night at Auckland Museum
Auckland Museum's after-dark series is back for its ninth year.
Overview
The enormously popular Night at Auckland Museum is back for its ninth year of after-dark fun, but this year, they've added two adults only nights. Held on July 7 and 20, the R18 events will be similar to the usual event but with the addition of bubbly.
Museum-goers must bring their own torches, which they'll need to navigate the various exhibits. You can expect the objects to come to life with stories to tell, or maybe find a secret door to explore. There will be alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, nibbles and live music in the Grand Foyer.
"You may meet a dinosaur, a Pacific navigator, a suffragette, an ancient Egyptian servant, a warrior princess, a statue with attitude, a nurse, some soldiers and a whole lot more," according the Auckland Museum.
The all-ages Night at Auckland Museum will be running for several nights: July 7-9 and 18-20 from 6 to 8.30pm. The adults only nights run from 8.30 to 11.30pm.
