Overview

The grounds of the Hunting Lodge winery will transform into the North West Wine, Beer & Food Festival this Saturday, 15 February. The festival returns after a sell-out event in 2019 and promises to showcase the best food and beverages that Auckland's north-west has to offer.

Looking to debunk the myth that Auckland isn't a bonafide wine region, the beverage lineup will be entirely local with wine from the likes of Coopers Creek, The Hunting Lodge, Kumeu River and West Brook Winery to name just a few. If wine isn't your thing, refreshing brews from Hallertau and Liberty will also be present, as well as kombucha from Mama's Brew Shop for those choosing to abstain. An array of food local food vendors will ensure your appetite is fully satiated.

No food and wine festival is complete without great entertainment and this year's musical lineup starts at 2pm and features iconic Kiwi band The Mutton Birds, now reunited after an eight-year hiatus. Joining are Wellington's The Black Seeds and local star Milly Tabak & The Miltones

This year the festival has expanded to feature a kid's zone, making it a family-friendly event. Tickets are $75 and are on sale now. Also available are return bus tickets available from Auckland CBD, Muriwai, Helensville, Kumeu and Riverhead for $20. Free parking will be available on the day.

The rain date is Sunday, February 16.
