Overview

Beyond nailing it in the practice room, the ultimate goal for any musician is to be heard and be successful in what they do. To help transform those goals into reality, some good folks in the NZ music industry have put their skills to good use to present an intimate series of masterclasses this month.

Attendees of the NZ Music Month Summit will be given the opportunity to get up close and personal with music big wigs and find out first-hand how to make money from their music, what funding is available, and hear tips and pointers on how to present the best application for success.

The free event will include a panel of experienced industry specialists from local music agencies, including: Brendan Smyth from broadcast funding agency NZ On Air, Alan Holt from the international arm of local music promoters NZ Music Commission, Dean Cameron of licensing and copyright enthusiasts Recorded Music NZ, Chris Archer from arts development agency Creative New Zealand and Ant Healey from royalty collection agency APRA AMCOS.

To secure a place at the NZ Music Month Summit rsvp to [email protected]. The speaker event will take place within the Marlborough Rooms at the SkyCity Convention Centre, Auckland.
