Overview
Strap on your lederhosen and fill your stein to the brim with hefeweizen, 'cause it's almost time for Oktoberfest 2016 (in September). Organised by the the New Zealand German Business Association, this event attracted over 500 revellers in 2015, and is forecasted to be bigger and better this year.
If you're in the mood to pick up a bargain you'll enjoy the silent auction, where the event organisers will sell off a number of German products with all proceeds going towards to the Prostate Cancer Foundation.
Skip lunch on the day as you'll have litres upon litres of tasty German beer to quaff and a hearty three course Bavarian meal to devour. After you're well fed and beered, get in the spirit as a traditional oompah band soundtrack your evening with all manner of traditional Bavarian bangers.
