Overview

Updated (Tuesday, October 8): This event has now been cancelled by the organiser.

Without props, costumes or inhibition, Canadian actor Charles Ross is heading Down Under to perform the original Star Wars movie trilogy in an entirely new way.

One-Man Star Wars Trilogy is a live whirlwind adventure through the epic space opera series (A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi). In just one hour Ross will singlehandedly take on all of the characters, sing the music, fly the ships and fight the battles. You will be taken from Mos Eisley to the Death Star with appearances from at least 41 characters along the way — Luke Skywalker, R2-D2, Han Solo, Jabba the Hutt, Darth Vader, Princess Leia, Chewbacca, you name it.

The show has been officially endorsed by Lucasfilm and since premiering in 2011 has been performed for over a million film buffs from London's West End to the Sydney Opera House, Glastonbury and the Edinburgh Fringe.

One-Man Star Wars Trilogy will take place at the ASB Waterfront Theatre from 27 November to 1 December. Audience members are invited to wear costumes, but no masks or weapons are allowed.
