Open Another World: Wine-Tasting Treasure Hunt

Overview

If you needed another excuse to drink wine, here's one. New Zealand's most awarded winery, Villa Maria, has created a wine-tasting treasure hunt for Aucklanders to experience new varietals, and win big in the process.

Taking place on 15 July, the wine crawl will see a number of inner city bars offer tastings of Villa Maria with paired food. Registered participants will begin their journey at Villa Maria's pop-up container bar on Queens Wharf. From there, clues will lead them on a vino-quaffing journey through Auckland Central while they compete for the grand prize of two return flights to a destination of their choice. General knowledge and the ability to differentiate one oakey red from the next will come in handy to claim the tickets which are valued up to $6000.
