Overview

Fancy hanging out at the gallery but more of a music fan than a fan of visual art? Vice has got you sorted.

This month for Open Late at the Auckland Art Gallery it's the Hip Hop Renaissance series with MeloDownz — you might know him from his regular gig with the Third3ye collective.

MeloDownz's EP Avontales is a collection of tracks influenced by tales of his hometown, Avondale. Prepare to be transported out west from the heart of the city.

The Corsini Collection was put together by Senior Curator Mary Kisler who believes the works allow audiences to experience the history of an extraordinary family through masterpieces from Botticelli, Caravaggio Pontormo and Rigaud.

Get your tickets now if you don't want to miss out on a night of mellow-funk-jazz-rap/hip hop-melotrap.
