As mainstream as he has become, you have to appreciate the story that is Owl City.  Owl City is the best known work of the super talented singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Adam Young, and has gained mainstream popularity with catchy tunes and experimental beats.

Adam Young is living proof that dreams do come true… of course, with the help of the Internet. The Minnesota-born artist suffered from insomnia and spent his days living in a dream worlds away from his hometown and mundane job. Young utilised his free time to write beautiful poems that emulated his optimistic nature and idealistic world. He jump-started his music career mixing tapes in his mum’s basement and streaming them onto the Myspace; the songs quickly went viral.
