Overview
The Parnell Business Association has once again thrown down the napkin to the Auckland hospitality community to take part in the Parnell Waiters' Race 2018. The community has responded with gusto, as top waiters from Oyster and Chop, Headquarters, Depot, Federal Delicatessen, Woodpecker Hill, Chop Chop, Blue Breeze, 46 & York, and more will be racing (literally) to put their restaurant on the 'best waiters in Auckland' list.
The event, which is held in more than 53 countries around the world, will this year be held next door to La Cigale at 78 St George's Bay Road on Sunday, 18 November.
The waiters will not just be running for glory and the title of Auckland's best waiter, but also some pretty impressive prizes from event sponsors Renault New Zealand, House of Travel Parnell and Southern Hospitality. The grand prize for the winning individual is five nights in London, automatic entry into the National Waiters' Race held in Hyde Park, plus a shiny new car for a year for the winning waiter's restaurant.
The Parnell Waiters' Race is always a fun day of thrills (and inevitably spills) for all the family to enjoy. Entry to watch the race is free so don't miss the opportunity to support your favourite restaurants and waiters and enjoy the delicious day of French flavour in Parnell.
Following the event, you'll have the opportunity to jump on board one of the Renault shuttles and drop by Parnell Rose Gardens' Rose Festival.
