Overview

Auckland's favourite hip-hop sons @Peace return to support the release of the Valentine's Day EP Girl Songs, and to celebrate the release of a physical collector's edition of the album, as a result of fans' demand.

Those same demanding fans from Auckland will get to see @Peace at Nectar Bar, with support from the Young, Gifted and Broke family, who are a sublime mix of local artists.

The Girl Songs EP is a 10 track conceptual EP about a failed relationship and features both Tom Scott and Lui Tuiasau on vocals.

@Peace's self-titled debut in 2011, featured a musical soundscape laid down by Christoph El Truento (Wonderful Noise), Hayden ‘Dandruff’ Dicky and Brandon Haru, featured addictive vocals and soothing beats, a killer combination that won over plenty of fans and critics alike.

Since 2011, @Peace have been working on their first major release, a conceptual album about space, finality, quantum physics and other things that you probably can't dance to.

Girl Songs is the preview to this craft - veering slightly off the boutique rap track that he normally takes, Tom Scott reveals that listening back to ‘Girl Songs’ is like “listening to my subconscious shout at me from under a pile of suppressed denial”.
