Overview

Phoenix Organic drinks and Kingsland Karnival are seeing the last of another New Zealand summer out in style with Phoenix Fest, one of the most highly anticipated events in the Kingsland community. A celebration of music, food and organic urban living, Phoenix Fest is an inherently Kiwi carnival which they’ll tell you themselves is brought to you with love.

Gracie Taylor from George FM will be MC-ing a solid line up of purely Kiwi beats. Headliners, Tahuna Breaks encompass funk, disco, soul, live electronics and roots, Midnight Gallery salute the 90s Hip Hop and R&B in their own distinct homegrown style, big band Hipstamatics bring soul powered funk and DJ Cian uses the record box to produce choice cuts. Wildcard act Night Gaunts who won the Phoenix Fest band search competition with their fantastically positive energy and sound will also be performing.

The day will also be filled with markets, and lots of activities for kids including face painting by BodyFX and Pirate Olympics hosted by Captain Festus McBoyle.

In keeping with their organic flavour, Phoenix Fest invite punters along via bike, bus or foot, to enjoy a day of grass-roots, kiwi fun.
