Overview

More than 100 photographers will showcase their work when the world-renowned event Photo Laundry returns to Auckland this weekend.

Also known as Photo Sooshka (Russian for 'to dry something'), the event welcomes photographers of all skill levels to showcase their work on a set of pop-up washing lines. In return for pegging their best landscape, portrait or selfie, participants are encouraged to take home another pegged image that takes their fancy.

Since its inception in 2010 in St Petersberg, Russia, more than 90,000 people from 40 cities across seven countries have participated in the project. Over 1000 people attended the Auckland debut of Photo Laundry in 2014 at Silo Park.

The sixth New Zealand event will be held at Silo Park on from 14–15 June.
