Overview

The Polar Bear Chronicles takes an intriguing look into the restricted lives of enclosure animals through expressive contemporary dance and movement.

Kate Sullivan (Head of Dance at AAGS), Susannah Smith-Roy (Ghost on Shortland Street) and Jack Ansett (comedian) will take a unique journey to Singapore Zoo.

All we've been told is there is an enclosure full of neglected bears who are green with algae, so naturally they've won our attention with a resounding 'why?' All answers will be uncovered throughout this wild journey of physical theatre, dance and a healthy dose of comedy.

If you love a bit of surprise, then this show will leave a lot to the imagination, and has been created by three talented Auckland performers.
