You only have to spot the giant half-nude, mask-wearing, champagne-bearing Santa atop the roof of Ponsonby Central to know that Christmas has well and truly arrived in Auckland.
Keep the festive celebrations going inside those glass doors, with the shopping precinct's Christmas market coming to the Sapphire Room in late November.
Run by General Collective, the markets will run from 10am–2pm on Sunday, November 27, with local makers and creators selling a fabulous range of homewares, fashion, ceramics, toys, jewellery and skincare. Come with some friends to get a jump on your Christmas shopping, stay for the evening and grab a coffee and a bite lunch afterwards at one of the popular eateries or bars. It is the silly season after all.
