Overview

Auckland always has a few tricks up its sleeve and the Pop-up Globe is certainly one of them. It's been claimed that this Pop-up Globe is the first ever full scale, temporarily working replica of Shakespeare's theatre, the second Globe. 2016 saw the debut of this theatre cloaked in history but now it's back and with its most special feature, the onion dome roof. Recreated as closely as possible to the original, the Pop-up Globe replicates the scenes, emotions and elements of its successor.

Over the month of February the globe will be home to Much Ado About Nothing, As You Like It, Othello and Henry V. Each of these Shakespearean masterpieces offer an experience unlike any other theatre, an intimate sharing of space with the actors and a turn in Auckland's very own time machine.
