Overview

For the first time in 30 years, mega-band Queen will return to New Zealand to perform one show as part of their ‘Once In A Lifetime Tour’. With the unfortunate passing of the band’s flamboyant front man Freddie Mercury in 1991, the band will be led by Adam Lambert.

Lambert first shared the stage with Queen during his stint on American Idol in 2009 for a performance of 'We Are The Champions'. He has since teamed up with the band on numerous occasions, including a series of shows across Europe in 2012. The latest ‘Once In A Lifetime Tour’ began with a 24-date outing in North America and will pit stop in Australia before heading our way. It will be the first Queen tour of NZ since 1985.

The show at Vector Arena has been promised by guitarist Brian May to be "a truly stunning production that encapsulates all the operatic spectacle and glamour befitting a Queen performance". He also said that as well as the best-known hits, they will be performing some older album tracks from the band’s career that spans over 40 years.
