Overview

If you haven't yet experienced the art of raclette, let us enlighten you about the world of melty cheesy heaven. Hailing from the mountainous alpine regions of Switzerland and France, the dining experience involves melting and pouring semi-hard cheese on to platters of boiled potatoes, vegetables and charcuterie. The emphasis is on relaxed and sociable eating and drinking, the meal often spread across several hours.

O'Connell Street's Le Chef will host a raclette party this Saturday, 13 October. Across two sessions (6 and 8pm), diners will be presented with there own serving of hot, melty raclette cheese to smother charcuterie and an unlimited amount of potatoes and salad. An accompanying list of beverages will be available from the Le Chef bar — a popular French option is to serve it with white wine. An evening of entertainment will follow.

The experience is available for groups of six people with a maximum of ten. $40 per person. Bookings are mandatory via Le Chef.
