Overview

Celebrating their tenth annual Record Store Day this Saturday April 22, local music institution Real Groovy will be turning up the volume with their biggest and best celebration of music to date.

The free event will run from 9am to 7pm, with five local bands blasting tunes throughout the day and sustenance on hand from Taco Loco, Karma Cola, Red Bull and You're Welcome Coffee.

With a distinct focus on giving back, Real Groovy have changed tact this year as they pay homage to the people behind the music: the listeners, creators and community. With loads of giveaways it's well worth your while to pop along to the festivities as you just might pick up a new Project 2Xperience Primary record player (the only of its type in New Zealand).

There will be an abundance of awesome LP deals and charitable Dunedin rockers The Clean have also contributed original artworks in a 'Breakfast with The Clean' package, which will be up for grabs with all proceeds given directly to our emerging talent at the New Zealand Music Foundation.

The band lineup plays out as follows,

11am: Badcorporation
12pm: Oscar Dowling
1pm: Echo Ohs
2pm: X Features
3pm: Contenders
