Overview

Wynyard Quarter is soon to be transformed for a one-off Latin-Caribbean-Brazilian food and music extravaganza. The Rice and Beans festival will see an eclectic mish-mash of music, culture, art and food as the third instalment of the Silo Sessions at Silo Park.

Kicking off at 12pm, international headliners will provide a truly urban vibe with New York DJ Nickodemus and Tamenpi from Rio Di Janeiro. Local acts LatinAotearoa (Jennifer Zea, Bobby Brazuka and Isaac Aesili), Jah Red Lion, the Sandy Bay Social Club and Stinky Jim complete the line-up. The acts encompass everything from soul, funk, jazz, reggae, Brazilian music, afro beat and down tempo, bound to create a vibrant atmosphere.

Head along for an afternoon of exotic tunes and experience cuisine that the cultures of Central and South America have to offer the greater Auckland community in this free afternoon of entertainment.
