Robyn
She packs more punch and energy than a case of Red Bull.
Overview
The Swedish pop stalwart announced her one-off Auckland show on her Facebook back in August: "I HAD to come out and see you, didn't mean to make you wait this long!" And now the time is here.
Robyn first made a name for herself in the late 90s with pop hits like 'Do You Know (What It Takes)' and 'Show Me Love', but then she decided to ditch her major record label and go out on her own.
Fast forward a few years to 2010 and the release of Robyn's trilogy of albums 'Body Talk', which spawned the singles 'Call Your Girlfriend' and 'Dancing On Your Own' and prompted 20-something females to spend hours in front of YouTube attempting to emulate her dance moves.
The show, which is sold out, promises to be spectacular, with reviewers raving about her infectious energy, with one even concluding, "she packs more punch and energy than a case of Red Bull". Auckland, you better be excited for this one.
