Fall in love with the passionate whirlwind romance as the Shakespearian classic Romeo and Juliet is taken to the stage by the Royal New Zealand Ballet.

Watch the young lovers meet in a beautiful depiction choreographed by Italian director Francesco Ventriglia who takes the audience on a journey through passages of desire, struggle and tragedy.

The ballet has been crafted with a creme-de-la-creme crew, with costumes masterfully designed by Academy Award-winning designer James Acheson (The Last Emperor, Dangerous Liaisons), and Prokofiev's score performed live to add to the drama. There's nothing quite as special as hearing a live orchestra accompany a ballet performance.
