Overview
If there's any event to try your hand at the thing they call 'running', it's definitely Round the Bays. The event is one of the world's largest fun runs and the nation's largest mass participation sporting event, annually attracting more than 30,000 participants.
The allure of the event is that a lot of emphasis is put on having a really, really good time— rather than sweating it out against other competitors and almost popping a lung. Walking, jogging, running and dressing up as Batman is welcomed along the 8.4km journey from the CBD along the waterfront, around the bays, to St Heliers. Participants can also expect entertainment along the way as encouragement.
The 45th edition of Round the Bays takes place on Sunday 5 March, 2017.
