The South Central Los Angeles rapper with a penchant for capitalizing the letter H in everything he writes has announced a series of dates down under this June, including pitstops in Auckland and Wellington.
After gaining attention with his first independent release, Setbacks, ScHoolboy Q followed in the footsteps of Kendrick Lamar, releasing a major label debut through Top Dawg Entertainment/Interscope Records. The album Oxymoron features collaborations with hip hop collective Black Hippy, A$AP Rocky, Danny Brown, Action Bronson, Pharrell and The Alchemist and made its debut at number 1 on the Billboard 200 chart.
He has noted his influences a mix of both East and West coast rappers including Notorious B.I.G., JayZ, Nas, 50 Cent and 2Pac.
For the New Zealand dates ScHoolboy Q will be joined by the newest signee of Top Dawg Entertainment, Isaiah Rashad.
