Overview
One of Auckland's favourite community play parks, Silo Park is a waterfront spot like no other. Water features, basketball courts and some of the city's best restaurants nearby. The summer events are always a crowd-pleaser, from openair movies to live entertainment, themed food events and 2018's popular gathering of farm animals.
This year, Silo Park has taken things to a whole new level in 2020 with Silo Zoo. Fun for all ages, partake in animal-themed games, activities and workshops and enjoy the company of a few creepy crawlies, furry pals and some farm friends. Get to see and hold reptiles, amphibians, insects, spiders and exotic creatures courtesy of West Auckland's Hands On Creatures, visit Little Bo Peeps Mobile Farm and spend the afternoon enjoying the company of a range of animals. This free event will be held on Saturday, 15 February from 12pm to 4pm, with Silo Park open until 6pm.
