Overview

The eighth instalment of St Jerome’s Laneway Festival will once again take place at the longstanding waterfront venue Silo Park on Monday 1 February. As per usual the artist lineup comprises an eclectic mix of artists coming in hot on the indie radar.

Making their way across international waters for the 2016 event are: Scottish electronic trio CHVRCHES, Las Vegas dance-pop artist Shamir, New York trio experimental-rock trio Battles, Los Angeles garage-punk band FIDLAR, experimental-pop and self-proclaimed 'aspiring warrior poet’ Grimes, Glasgow beatmaker Hudson Mohawke, multi-genre bass player and producer Thundercat, dream-pop duo Beach House, Los Angeles-based R&B/neo-soul outfit The Internet, Sydney electronic producer Flume, and so many more that it's ridiculous.

A contingent of rising local artists complete the lineup, including psychedelic electronic act Silicon, Auckland producer supergroup Leisure, Port Chalmers folk songwriter Nadia Reid, Wellington bedroom producer Lontalius, and more. Legendary Flying Nun band High Dependency Unit will also reform for their first show in four years.
