Still harbouring Whip It fantasies? Lace up those skates — it's time to get groovy baby. A Studio 54-themed roller rink session is coming to Auckland next month.

Returning to ActivZone in Glenfield on Friday, August 19, this roller disco is a skating workout and dance party all rolled into one.

Two sessions are set to run — a family-friendly all-ages 'matinee' will kick things in the late afternoon with disco tunes, snacks and refreshments. But in the evening it's time to party at the adults-only "after dark" session, with DJ Kane Spindler on the decks, refreshments provided and good times set to be had.

Come in your best 70s glam and get ready to skate. The family session runs from 5.30pm-7.30pm with tickets costing $15, while the adults-only session will run from 8pm-10.30pm and set you back $25 a ticket.
