Summer in the Square
Take a break from the pre-Christmas buying frenzy and enjoy some chilled beats from the comfort of a deck chair in Aotea Square.
Overview
Take a break from the pre-Christmas buying frenzy and enjoy some chilled beats from the comfort of a deck chair in Aotea Square. A free two-week programme of theatre, dance, music, games and weekend markets are all part of the fifth annual Summer in the Square.
Live at Lunch is a series of midday gigs featuring bands including Anthonie Tonnon, Nadia Reid, Ratsmagic, Rodney Fisher, Fazerdaze and the Leers. While you're there why not play a giant game of Connect Four or get lost in a massive maze.
On Friday and Saturday nights you can check out the crafts or grab a bite to eat at the markets and then learn how to dance salsa, ballroom and swing at Bandstand under the Stars.
