Overview

The Sunday Best ride is Auckland's twist on the ever-popular London bike event, The Tweed Run. After a successful first year it's back, and just like last year, those ever-so-dapper riders are sure to turn a few heads. If you're a fan of two-wheeled transport, why don't you join them, there's nothing like hitting the streets in your Sunday best.

This year, the great minds behind the Sunday Best ride have stepped things up a notch and plan to pay homage to New York City's Five Boro Bike Tour - a annual event that sees 32,000 cyclists roll through every borough - that's an area just a wee bit bigger than a suburb - of New York City.

Mostly off road this year - don't panic, you won't be hitting the mountain biking trails - the ride will take the group through heritage parks and will test out some newly paved bike paths. This is the perfect excuse for you to hit the opshops in search of that exuberant faux fur coat you've always wanted, or to rent that ridiculously dapper tweed suit. Remember, this is one event where being "too dressed up" isn't a thing.
