Overview

You may be no Clark Kent, but you can save the world in other ways. The Sustainable City Showcase shows visitors how to take little steps towards living more sustainably. The weekend will be crammed with workshops, inspirational talks and the latest designs and technology to enhance a sustainable lifestyle, and it's free.

Those who have already boarded the green train can get tips on how to take their sustainability to a new height, while the others still new to the whole thing can learn how to take small, manageable steps to becoming more sustainable, “as consumers we have tremendous power: every dollar we spend is an opportunity to support sustainable business,” Rachel Brown the CEO of the Sustainable Business Network says.

Events and workshops will be hosted throughout the weekend, from the Friday Night Market with George FM DJs manning the decks, a fewGeneration Zero speaker events and installations, as well as other inspirational environmental speakers. If you get a bit nibbly organic food and beverages from a selection of vendors will be available throughout the day in the farmers market cum café and garden bar.
