If you like comedy with a glass of wine.

If you love comedy with a glass of wine or craft beer, then head down to Golden Dawn on Thursday for the monthly episode of Talk Show and Tell. It's a fun evening of comedy banter and some out-there performances. This week will be hosted by Paul Amos and Mr Crawley, and feature comedians including Rhys Mathewson, Ruby Esther, Joel Hansby and Bridget Davies.

At 25, Rhys Mathewson has already been in the standup business for a decade and has won a selection of prestigious awards including the prestigious Billy T. After moving to the UK to pursue his career abroad, Rhys returned to New Zealand and has been working on shows such as Best Bits, 7 Days, The Block and more.

Ruby Esther is a fresh face to the comedy scene, however she has made her mark after winning the 2017 RAW Comedy Quest shortly after graduating the Comedy Festival's Class Comedians program last year. She is known for her immaculate timing, subtle observations and storytelling.

Joel Hansby, also known as Joel the Cereal Bowl on YouTube, built his public reputation by using a shy, melancholic persona to share his story of awkward life experiences and Bridget Davies also draws on life experiences but confidently says what everyone really thinks, but are sometimes too afraid to admit.
