Overview
The most important event on the dance calendar is on its way. The 11th annual Tempo Dance Festival 2014 squeezes 41 shows and workshops and over 700 choreographers and dancers into its 12-day programme. Performances range in style from contemporary to hip hop, ballet to African dance and drumming, cirque to Latin ballroom – and anything else you can imagine.
There are also a host of free events which give you a real insight into the local dance industry and key personalities. These include post-show forums, the Tempo Party, The Director’s Cut and an evening with veteran Kiwi dancer Jacqui Cesan.
