Overview

New Zealand supergroup, The Adults are set for a nationwide tour this June.

Led by former Shihad frontman Jon Toogood, The Adults have slightly altered their touring line-up, with guitarist Shayne Carter to be replaced by Aaron Tokona of Cairo Knife Fight, who is sure to bring a new dimension to the group's sound. Carter, formerly of Dimmer, is off finishing his own solo record.

The group's galaxy of performers revolve around Toogood, with the cast of prominent performers including Ladi6, the Nielson brothers and Anika Moa. Since releasing their debut album two years ago, the group have consolidated their touring line-up, featuring Toogood, Carter previously, ex-Fur Patrol singer Julia Deans and orchestral percussionist Steve Bremner.

The tour signals one of the final chances to catch the band playing their self-titled debut album before they return to the studio to record a second release later in the year.

The band have offered a free download of the previously unreleased track Never Be Mine to celebrate the announcement of the tour, with the track featuring Hollie Smith, Pip Brown and Liam Finn.
