Overview
Ladi6 will bring her studio space into the public domain for an intimate residency at the Matterhorn this July. Every Thursday, Ladi will be joined by her band made up of Parks, Julien Dyne, and Brandon Haru, to deconstruct, recreate, and re-work a selection of crowd favourites and lesser known album tracks.
Initially starting out as a break dancer, Karoline Tamati got into music when she was 16, forming the group Sheelahroc. Under the Ladi6 moniker, she has released three top ten albums - Time Is Not Much, The Liberation Of…, Automatic - won a cabinet's worth of music awards, toured across international waters, and has been called “New Zealand's answer to Erykah Badu.”
Across every performance - luckily there's five Thursdays in July - Ladi will be joined by a range of special guests. In consecutive order they are: Low Key, Printor, Manuel Bundy, Miroshiru and Jellphonic.
Tickets are also a breezy tenner on the door.
