The APO: Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

The sound of magic.

As someone who grew up in the Harry Potter universe, who read the books and watched the films multiple times, it's safe to say the language, songs and characters are firmly cemented in my memory. That opening sequence music is a way to instantly throw you back into the world — Chocolate Frogs, Butter Beer and all.

The Auckland Philharmonic Orchestra is bringing the sweet, magical sounds to life with the full musical set list of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone in concert. As part of the Harry Potter Film Concert Series at Spark Arena on July 2, the orchestra will perform award-winning film composer and Oscar winner John Williams' score note-for-note to the picture as it plays out in high-definition on a massive 40-foot screen.

The Harry Potter Film Concert Series is a global concert tour celebrating the Harry Potter films for fans of both the franchise and orchestral music.
