Overview

Dig out your velour tracksuits and oversized hoop earrings from under your Britney Spears CDs; your favourite early 2000s 'popstarz' are back. TYLA&Deni$ are returning to the Basement Theatre with their second album release party this September, and they're here for some #ReDempShun.

Desperate for everyone to forget their public – and very tragic – meltdown at Coachella in 2007, TYLA&Deni$ are back to prove they are in fact the superstars they whole-heartedly believe they are. The bedazzled duo are reboot(y)ing their quest for pop music domination and this time around are hoping the support of their new dance posse – Spice Rack – will be the secret ingredient to their success.

Winners of the 2015 Auckland Theatre Awards 'Best Entrance', Kate McGill and Frith Horan return with their second concert-play-extravaganza. The Better Best Possible Album Party Anyone Has Ever Been Two features ten original tongue-in-cheek tunes and plenty of spectacular dance moves.

Album Party may leave audiences' heads filled with annoyingly catchy songs about eftpos cards declining, but also encourages musings on how society views success – and failure – and how we treat those who strive to achieve it more than others. This story of two washed up pop stars' desperation for fame is unexpectedly endearing and unquestionably hilarious. You will have never been to an album party like it - unless you saw the divas' first one. In which case you'll have your velour tracksuit on hand and ready to go.
