The creators of New Zealand's first chocolate subscription service and at-home chocolate masterclass are coming to Auckland for a week-long pop-up.

Hailing from Wellington, The Chocolate Bar is a craft chocolate company which prides itself on sourcing the highest quality bean-to-bar craft chocolate from across the globe. Owner Luke Owen Smith is the brains behind the outfit and the go-to for those looking to appreciate boutique chocolate in New Zealand.

The Chocolate Bar Pop-Up at Ponsonby Central will be a celebration of the world's finest bean-to-bar chocolate. As well as featuring a huge collection of craft chocolate, there will be multiple tasting events and talks, collaborations with local food producers and the launch of a brand new chocolate maker.

Luke will be hosting evening tasting sessions from 7-8pm, Monday to Thursday, covering the basics of locally-produced craft chocolate, plus how well chocolate pairs with tea, soda and coffee. There will also be free talks about craft chocolate every lunchtime for the whole week, an opportunity to meet Auckland-based chocolate maker Tania Lincoln, and the tasting premiere of the first four micro-batch releases from Foundry Chocolate.
